Opening times of reception
Term time: 8am – 4pm Monday to Thursday,
8am – 3.30pm Friday

Attendance
Full attendance is critical if you are to make the best use of your opportunities. Research shows that missing lessons has a seriously detrimental effect on your achievements.

Less than 90% attendance is enough to drop an attainment level/ GCSE grade.

All students have their attendance monitored rigorously and were necessary we invite parents /carers in to offer support and discuss any issues.

Please support the Academy by sending your child in whenever possible.

Reporting a student absent
If your child is absent, due to illness or an appointment, it is important that you contact us to inform us as soon as possible.

You may email l.nash@ormistonvictoryacademy.co.uk or contact the Academy by phone to report an absence (direct dial 01603 734156).

If a student has not registered in the morning a text message will be sent to parents/carers. Parents/carers can reply to this message or alternatively contact the above number and leave a message.

Application for leave of absence from school during term time
If you are planning a holiday during term time, please be aware that is the Academy’s policy not to authorise these unless there are exceptional circumstances.

Contacting Teachers

It is easy to contact teachers at the academy and if you have any concerns or queries please do get in touch. You can call the main telephone number and your messages will be passed on, however sometimes the simplest and quickest way to get in touch is by email.

Email teachers@ormistonvictoryacademy.co.uk to get in touch with any teacher and your email will be forwarded to the relevant staff member. By using one simple email address, we can make sure that your emails are picked up and get to the right person.
