The Academy’s well-stocked LRC is a place where students can seek out answers, expand their knowledge and learn with independence.

Whether you are looking for a place to sit and read the latest Darren Shan novel or somewhere for group work discussion, the LRC aims to provide a comfortable environment for everyone.

The LRC, which is open from 8.40am to 3.30pm every day, offers a wide range of both fiction and non-fiction books and resources for teachers and staff to use. Students are able to borrow up to three books for two weeks. Books can be renewed if needed. Sixth form stock is located on the upper level in the LRC.

We offer first-class computer facilities for research, homework, or coursework, which can be booked in advance.

Our Homework Club runs in the LRC on Mondays and Thursdays from 2.45pm-4.30pm. The club provides resources, assistance and a quiet environment for students after school.
