Based on Carnegie Book Shadowing, every year we have a group of Victory Scholars who share a range of books for enjoyment and review. Once a fortnight, our Elite Reviewers meet, swap books and talk about their chosen books. They are then encouraged to write reviews to inspire others into reading the reviewed book. From this, we believe that the standard of reading raises across the whole academy through the shared interest and passion of literature.
We firmly believe that reading for pleasure is fundamental to developing higher cognitive skills as well as a wider understanding of the self, the world and its many voices.
