New Science Technician Appointed
Ormiston Victory Academy is delighted to announce the appointment of our new Science Technician, Mr A Whittleton.
Mr Whittleton joins us after studying Forensic Science at college and Psychology & Criminology and university. After a temporary position at the academy last summer, we are delighted to be welcoming him back to the Science department.
Mr Whittleton said:
“From a young age I showed an interest in science. For me Biology was my preferred subject, looking into the workings of the cells and how species evolved. This in turn influenced my spare time reading, with two of my current books being the origin of species by Charles Darwin and the selfish gene by Richard Dawkins. This interest was quickly identified by my science teacher while at middle school, her words have stuck with me since then “You have a bright future in science” now I see she was right. This experience taught me that a simple word from anyone can make the biggest difference. So, I look forward to aiding in the teaching of the sciences to the next generation.”

“We were fortunate to be able to employ Mr Whittleton earlier last year whilst he was completing his degree. We are delighted another opportunity has arisen now he’s graduating. He made an excellent impact in the science department last time, so we are thrilled. We are keeping everything crossed that he will eventually become a member of the science teaching team!”
