In Year 7 and 8, students will study Dance, Music and Drama on a rotation.
Key Stage 4
Tech Award Performing Arts
The AQA Technical Award in Performing Arts gives students the opportunity to experience the Performing Arts industry in a meaningful way through active participation in performance work. Year 9 will be spent developing skills, learning about practitioners, and discovering the world of performing arts. In Year 10 students will complete the first unit; Unlocking Creativity, which allows them to explore a performing and production role in more depth. Year 11 sees the completion of Unit 2, where students choose either a performance or production role while working as a member of a company. They will also sit the Unit 3 written examination.

All students wishing to take Performing Arts as an option will be required to:
- Involve themselves in at least 2 performing art activities that are offered each year.
- Prepare an audition piece if they have not been involved in any performances to date
