Results

Students at Ormiston Victory Academy in Costessey were celebrating after receiving fabulous GCSE results, as they get ready to take their next steps in their education journey. The English and Mathematics ‘Basics’ grade in 2023 is the academy’s highest to date – testament to students’ resilience and the dedication of the staff.

Staff and families have come together today to mark the achievements of all the students, who have worked exceptionally hard over the past couple of years to secure these grades.

Alongside the continued success of the academy, which is sponsored by Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT), some particular individual highlights include:

Tyler Williams, who was an OAT award nominee, secured a grade 9 in Mathematics, 9 in English, 9 in Geography, 9 in Physics, 8 in Chemistry, 8 in Biology and Distinction* in Business. He has been offered a contract at Norwich City Football Club for next year, as a result of his talent in football.
Beren Guler achieved an incredible Progress 8 score of +3.50, with a grade 8 in mathematics, 7 in Literature, 9 in Chemistry, 9 in Physics, 9 in Biology, 9 in French, 8 in Computer Science and Distinction* in Business. We believe this is the highest progress score ever achieved by a Victory student – and it is well deserved by Beren who has been so diligent.
Matthew Prior, a 2022 OAT award winner, gained grade 9 in Mathematics, 8 in English, Physics, and Geography, with Double Distinction* in IT and Business. During his time with us at Victory, Matthew was an Executive Ambassador, and will study with us at Lord Nelson Sixth Form College continuing with his Ambassador role. Matthew also recently took part in the 2023 prestigious World Scouting Jamboree in South Korea.
Isla Clarke, another OAT award nominee became the Gresham’s sixth form OAT national scholarship winner when she was in Year 10. Isla achieved an amazing 9 grade 9s in English, Literature, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Philosophy, and Art.

Students and staff at Lord Nelson Sixth Form College at Ormiston Victory Academy were celebrating after receiving their A Level results, enabling them to secure futures at their chosen universities, exciting apprenticeships and moving on to great job opportunities.

The sixth form students at Lord Nelson Sixth Form College, Ormiston Victory Academy, which is sponsored by Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT), have achieved some excellent results which reflect the hard work and commitment shown throughout their studies.

Notably, excellent outcomes occurred in A Level Art, English Literature and Business. In Applied General, we offer special congratulations to Health and Social Care, Sport, Business and ICT

Students across the academy performed well, with some of the individual standout achievements including:

Lana Mohamed has achieved A in Art, B in Sociology and C in Psychology and will be going to Brighton University to study Fine Art.
Lewis Lovelace has achieved an A* in English Literature, A in History and a B in Psychology and will be going to Bristol University to study Psychology, he has also completed a very impressive EPQ.
Neo Barrun has achieved an A in Art, Distinction* in Creative media, and a Merit in Computer Science and will be off to Royal Holloway University to study Video games and design. Neo has completed an amazing EPQ and achieved an A grade.
Jamie Chaplin has worked incredibly hard and made amazing progress and is off to university to study Architecture thanks to his B in Art, Distinction in Engineering and Merit in Media.
Max Barnes secured full time employment at Norwich Airport, starting the day after his last exam. He has also passed the first two parts of police entry.

We are very pleased with the strong outcomes in Art with students making sure of the amazing new facilities, all students achieving excellent outcomes.
