Word of the Week

As part of our commitment to developing vocabulary, we have a whole school Word of the Week. Students will be introduced to the Word of the Week during form time and will then have the opportunity to earn visas throughout the week by using the Word of the Week in lessons and around the academy.

We actively encourage Parents and Carers to go through the Word of the Week PowerPoints with their child at home! Powerpoints containing and explaining each word for the rest of the academic year can be found below; why not try to incorporate the word into your discussions at home? We would love to receive tweets letting us know about how your family are using the higher level vocabulary.
